How do the TPS and CTPS Outbound Restrictions work?
TPS (Telephone Preference Service) is a list of phone numbers that do not want to receive sales calls. Anyone in the UK can go to the TPS website and enter their phone number and add it to the TPS list.
What is CTPS?
The CTPS (Corporate Telephone Preference Service) list does the same as the TPS list, but for Limited Companies, PLCs and Public Bodies phone numbers.
What will the Outbound Restriction do?
With this toggle enabled, when you call a number that is on the TPS list, the call will fail, like any other call being stopped by an outbound restriction.
How do I enable the TPS or CTPS Outbound Restriction?
To enable either of these restrictions, you will need to go to your Dashboard and go to Calls > Restrictions.
Here, under Outbound Restrictions, you will see the toggle for TPS Outbound Restrictions and CTPS Outbound Restrictions. We pull the data live from the TPS Database with zero latency, so your outbound call restrictions will always stay up to date!
