How do I send an SMS message from the Yay.com desktop app?
Before you can send SMS from the app, you need to ensure that your user profile has a valid SMS Message ID set. This is the number that the SMS will be sent from.
You can change this to any mobile number you are permitted to use in the chat settings of your desktop app.
To set the default SMS Message ID:
1. Load up the desktop app and click Settings
2. Go to Chats
3. Then navigate to the Message Caller ID and select a mobile number from the drop-down box provided.
To actually send an SMS:
1. Click on the “3 dots” (ellipsis) next to the contact in your list that you wish to send an SMS to.
2. Select Send SMS from the contact sub-menu:
3. This will open the message conversation screen and you can write your message at the bottom of the screen and click the Send button when ready:
