How do I integrate my Yay account with Zapier?

Firstly, if you don’t already have one, you’ll need to create a Zapier account.

1. Visit https://www.zapier.com

2. Choose a plan that is suitable for your usage, this begins at free to use accounts and increases in cost depending on the number of API calls or ‘Zaps’ you intend to use, and the complexity of the automations you plan to build.

3. To start an integration select ‘Create a new Zap

4. You can choose Yay.com as the ‘Trigger’ or the ‘Action’ for your interaction.

Each Zap works on the premise that a Trigger on one platform leads to an Action on the other.

Yay.com has the following Triggers and Actions:

Enabling Zapier on Yay

1. Visit Customer Dashboard > Account > Integrations

2. Select Zapier from the ‘Integrators’ section of the Integrations page.

3. Enter a password and hit ‘Save Changes(make sure to keep a copy of this password along with your integration ID, it won’t remain visible and you’ll need this later).

4. Once enabled, Zapier will appear in your list of integrations on your account.

Setting up a Zap

The options available for setting up a Zap vary greatly depending on your use case and the actions and triggers available on the platform you plan to integrate with.

1. Start by selecting ‘Explore Apps’ at the top of the page, and find Yay.com.

2. Select ‘Yay.com’.

3. Choose the event that will act as your Trigger. For this example we have shown Call Ended.

4. Sign In to your account to connect your Yay account.

5. Now enter the Integration ID and Password you copied earlier.

6. You will now be asked to test your trigger. Select ‘Test trigger’.

7. Once the trigger has been successfully tested you will choose the platform in which the Action for your Zap will be found. For this example, we have chosen Google Sheets.

We will add a row for each Call Ended. This action event is 'Create Spreadsheet Row'.

Repeat all necessary sign in steps for your chosen integration platform.

For this example, choose the Drive, File, Sheet that you wish to link. These options will vary depending on the platform.

For this example, the headers of the columns are User, Call Recipient, Time of Call, Duration, Call Recording link.

8. Map the column headers to the available information in the Trigger data field.

Once completed the Zap will now be complete. It is possible to add multiple Zaps for each Trigger (for instance one Trigger may have multiple Actions) or vice versa.
